Predictive maintenance is a maintenance method under which the state of equipment deterioration is quantitatively grasped through trend control based on simplified diagnosis, and precise diagnosis founded upon related information. Repair is carried out on the basis of data. It is also called Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM). Predictive Maintenance is fundamentally based on:
  1. Equipment should be used until just before its breakdown
  2. The time until the breakdown of the equipment is estimated
